...Under the measure, advocated by Sens. Tim Kaine (D-Va.) and Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), the president would be prohibited from withdrawing from NATO without the approval of two-thirds of the Senate or separate legislation passed by Congress.Kaine and Rubio had tried to advance similar measures since 2021. Passage of the defense policy bill this week marked the first time the House had embraced the tactic. The Republican-led House Armed Services Committee did not respond to questions about why the chamber accepted the provision....

Funding the Pandemic, Hiding the Communications
“As you know, I try to always communicate on gmail because my NIH email is FOIA’d constantly,” wrote David M. Morens, a high-ranking NIH official, in a September 2021 email, one of a series of email exchanges that included many leading scientists involved in the bitter Covid origins debate. “Stuff sent to my gmail gets to my phone,” he added, “but not my NIH computer.”“The lab leakers are already stirring up bullshit lines of attack that will bring more negative publicity our way — which is what this is about — a way to line up the [gain-of-function] attack on Fauci, or the ‘risky research’ attack on all of us,” wrote Daszak in one email on September 7.“Do not rule out suing these assholes for slander,” wrote Morens in response.

CNN Says Your Money Going Further Is Not Good For You
CNN has become cheerleaders for unnecessary household spending.
Falling prices may sound good, but deflation can be dangerous
"After encountering rapid price increases for more than two years, discounts at some stores would certainly feel like a much-needed respite. But business leaders, economists and investment moguls aren’t so gung-ho about it."
Homeowners should cheer lower prices, as it means they can buy more with their money.
"But the problem with deflation is that when people begin to expect lower prices in the future, they have little incentive to make purchases right now. For instance, unless it was absolutely necessary, why would you buy a new oven today if you thought the price would go down significantly in a month?"
If a household does not need an oven today, why would they buy an oven today? Of course the people in the household should wait until they need to buy the oven. The big box stores want you to spend today, even though you may not need to replace your functioning appliances.

Zelensky & Friends Are Getting Rich From American Taxpayers
In a case of life imitating art, Zelensky ended up winning the real-world Ukrainian presidency just three-and-a-half years after the show’s launch, with more than 73 percent of the vote.
Zelensky capitalized on widespread public anger at corruption, but his 2019 campaign was dogged by doubts over his anti-graft bona fides, given that his campaign was boosted by media belonging to Kolomoisky — who is accused of stealing US$5.5 billion from his own bank and funneling it offshore in concert with his partner, Hennadiy Boholiubov.
Ukraine President Zelensky has been implicated with his friends and two very expensive yachts. How much more of USA's money does Zelensky and his friends need?
President Volodymyr Zelensky, once seen as a beacon of hope against corruption, is now ensnared in a scandal involving the alleged purchase of two luxury yachts, “Lucky Me” and “My Legacy,” worth a combined $75 million. This lavish expenditure, facilitated in the opulent settings of Abu Dhabi and Antibes, starkly contrasts with Ukraine’s dire war reality and raises damning questions about the integrity and criminal liability of its leadership amidst heavy reliance on Western aid.

Unrealistic Neocons
Neocons seem to be in charge of both main parties at the federal level. Adam Kinzinger and Nikki Haley may want to enlist and send their friends and family to fight other's wars overseas. Maybe Kinzinger can get to Cuba or Moscow in just three days with just guts and Nikki.
Representative Adam Kinzinger said on Monday that the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) could take out Russia in only three days.
Nikki Haley recently said, “I’m tired of talking about a Department of Defense. I want a Department of Offense.“
If tough-talking Haley is tired of talking, she should enlist and gain some stamina at boot camp.

Janet Yellen Can Afford It
Asked during an interview on Sky News whether the U.S. can afford to provide military aid to Israel and to Ukraine in its ongoing war with Russia given the current debt-to-GDP ratio of 122%, Yellen said, "I think the answer is absolutely."She continued: "America can certainly afford to stand with Israel and to support Israel's military needs, and we also can and must support Ukraine in its struggle against Russia. The American economy is doing extremely well."

Government Gone Wild in Maryland
A federal criminal complaint has been filed charging Frederick Douglass Moorefield, Jr., age 62, of Arnold, Maryland, and Mario Damon Flythe, age 49, of Glen Burnie, Maryland with promoting and furthering animal fighting venture. ...According to the affidavit filed in support of the complaint, Moorefield, a Deputy Chief Information Officer for Command, Control, and Communications, for Office of the Secretary of Defense, and Flythe used an encrypted messaging application to communicate with individuals throughout the United States to discuss dogfighting.
A bipartisan letter demands answers from the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and President Biden’s chief medical adviser, while at the same time critics point out erroneous and “misleading” facts used in the letter and in the underlying campaign.
The White Coat Waste Project, the controversial nonprofit organization that first pointed out that U.S. taxpayers were being used to fund the controversial Wuhan Institute of Virology, have now turned its sights on Anthony Fauci on another animal-testing-related matter — infecting dozens of beagles with disease-causing parasites to test an experimental drug on them.

House Speaker Voted Out
Kevin McCarthy has been ousted as speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives following an unprecedented motion to remove him from the nation's third-highest post.In a historic recall vote, the House voted 216-210 on Tuesday to strip McCarthy of his leadership role, after far-right Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz filed a long shot "motion to vacate" the night before. The motion only required a simple majority vote to succeed, which was reached with the help of House Democrats. Shortly after McCarthy announced that he would not make a deal with Democrats in order to earn their backing, Minority House Leader Hakeem Jeffries reportedly directed his caucus to vote for new leadership.Republican officials attempted to push the recall vote to a later date so that they could have more time to lobby defectors, but the motion to table failed on Tuesday afternoon.McCarthy's ousting marks the first time in the nation's history that a House speaker has been removed, and the first time in 113 years that the House has formally sought to oust its speaker.

Rewind: EPA employees asked to stop pooping in hallway
There is a rogue “poop bandit” on the loose at the Environmental Protection Agency. I will try to make as few puns about this as humanly possible.GovernmentExecutive.com obtained an e-mail from Denver EPA administrator Howard Cantor asking employees to please not leave feces in the hallway. Here’s the critical excerpt from the article:In the email, obtained by Government Executive, Deputy Regional Administrator Howard Cantor mentioned “several incidents” in the building, including clogging the toilets with paper towels and “an individual placing feces in the hallway” outside the restroom.

Ukrainian Nazis were not prosecuted and now praised in Canada
Nazis in Ukraine were not apprehended nor prosecuted after WWII. Many remained in Ukraine, and some even emigrated to North America. The Canadian parliament recently gave a standing ovation to one such Nazi from Ukraine who is reportedly 98 years old.
Ukrainian world war vet invited to Canadian parliament fought in Nazi unit
... a Ukrainian veteran, invited to Canada’s parliament on the occasion of a visit by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy at the weekend, had served in the Waffen SS during WWII.
The Speaker of Parliament introduced 98-year-old Yaroslav Hunka to Zelenskiy and his wife and called him 'a Ukrainian-Canadian veteran of World War II who fought for Ukraine's independence against Russians.' The house then rose to give the veteran a standing ovation.

Yaroslav Hunka, 98, had been called a "hero" in Canadian Parliament.
During Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's visit to the Canadian parliament on Friday, speaker Anthony Rota called 98-year-old veteran Yaroslav Hunka a "hero." NYC Biggest Disaster of 2023
New York City police needed overtime pay, so Friday the police declared the biggest disaster of the year because there were some crowds of people. And some of the people had shovels. The police are itching for a fight and looking for skulls to crack.
Giveaway draws huge crowds to Union Square in New York City
“We went from 300 kids to a couple of thousands of kids in minutes,” he said at the second briefing.
The crowds spurred the NYPD to activate a “Level 4” response, its highest level of disaster response.

CIA Protected Nazis In Ukraine
German WWII Nazis have been associated, and criminally convicted, of humans rights abuses. They often targeted people based on ethnicity. During WWII there were extremists in areas which later became Ukraine. Those extremists have been reported to commit crimes worse than German Nazis. After WWII, the CIA protected these extremists and the ethnic cleansing in that area has festered and was recently reignited. The CIA protection and collaboration with Ukraine extremists was done to supposedly destablize the Soviet Union.
How the CIA protected Nazi murderers
Declassified CIA files have revealed that US intelligence officials went to great lengths to protect a Ukrainian fascist leader and suspected Nazi collaborator from prosecution after the Second World War and used him to stir up trouble inside the Soviet Union from an office in New York.
Corruption in Ukraine is so bad that the world IMF halted funding to Ukraine in 2021.
IMF puts Ukraine on pause over corruption concerns
For months, senior Ukrainian officials have been claiming that the Ukrainian government has done everything the International Monetary Fund (IMF) could possibly demand. Investment banks and brokerages that hawk Ukrainian bonds have cheerfully promoted these statements. They have speculated that Ukraine would receive its next IMF tranche during the first quarter of 2021, or at the very latest, in the following months. Unfortunately, this happy talk was always detached from reality.

Will Zelenskyy make the fateful decision to impose genuine rule of law? For the past three decades, a corrupt judicial system has blocked the development of the Ukrainian economy while enabling the oligarch class to dominate the country.

Congressman Asks If Federal Reserve Can Censor Information From Public
A Congressman asked the Federal Reserve if they can censor some banking information from the public. Keeping the public in the dark is not transparency or freedom. Some elected officials, such as Arizona's Mark Kelly, should be recalled and fired.
Sen. Mark Kelly, D-Ariz., asked during a meeting about the bailout of Silicon Valley Bank whether social media could be censored to prevent misinformation going out that could lead to a bank run, according to reports.

Fauci Walks Back Corona Virus Vaccine Effectiveness
A person named Fauci helped publish a paper last month that said there has never been an effective coronavirus vaccine. Either this is an imposter who infiltrated the people who control what is published by nih.gov, or the chief pusher of untested concoctions is walking back the submit-to-ongoing-shots-or-kill-grandma recommendation.
Rethinking next-generation vaccines for coronaviruses, influenzaviruses, and other respiratory viruses
David M. Morens, Jeffery K. Taubenberger, and Anthony S. Fauci
Viruses that replicate in the human respiratory mucosa without infecting systemically, including influenza A, SARS-CoV-2, endemic coronaviruses, RSV, and many other “common cold” viruses, cause significant mortality and morbidity and are important public health concerns. Because these viruses generally do not elicit complete and durable protective immunity by themselves, they have not to date been effectively controlled by licensed or experimental vaccines. In this review, we examine challenges that have impeded development of effective mucosal respiratory vaccines, emphasizing that all of these viruses replicate extremely rapidly in the surface epithelium and are quickly transmitted to other hosts, within a narrow window of time before adaptive immune responses are fully marshaled.

Minimum Wage
Minimum wage is being discussed in USA. This is an interesting picture of countries in Europe with low or no minimum wage as of February 2022.
The statutory minimum wage in Germany has stood at 9.82 euros per hour since 1 January 2022. Arithmetically, this corresponds to a minimum wage level of 1,621 euros per month (in gross terms) for a full-time job.

Same Viral Load With Or Without Shots
There was significant peer pressure to get the corona virus shots due to perception that the shots would reduce viral load and thus help stop re-transmission to other people. The Centers for Disease Control has debunked the myth that shots reduce the viral load. CDC says people with the shots have similar viral loads to those without the shots.
This might mean that the viral load of vaccinated and unvaccinated persons infected with SARS-CoV-2 is also similar.
One scary part of the study results is that 74% of the covid cases were in people who had received the shots. Since this study shows the shots don't reduce viral load (which maybe could have reduced the spread to other people), and if shots don't protect from infection, it may be prudent until long-term safety studies are finished.
Among five COVID-19 patients who were hospitalized, four were fully vaccinated ...
Among the 469 cases in Massachusetts residents, 346 (74%) occurred in persons who were fully vaccinated ...
Johns Hopkins has a more readable interpretation of the CDC study which shows same viral load.
New data was released by the CDC showing that vaccinated people infected with the delta variant can carry detectable viral loads similar to those of people who are unvaccinated ...
