ATF Chief Walks

For illegally providing firearms that were used to murder a US agent, a person should stand trial on criminal charges.

In this case, the government employee responsible for providing those weapons gets a slap on the wrist by possibly being fired. For any other person, the following headline would read: Kenneth Melson Indicted For Murder And Firearm Trafficing

Head of ATF Is Likely to Go
The Justice Department is expected to oust the head of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, according to people familiar with the matter, amid a troubled federal antitrafficking operation that has grown into the agency's biggest scandal in nearly two decades.

Earlier this year, government criminal Kenneth Melson refused to testify in front of Congress.

Democrats Sue Obama For Breaking Law

Democrats and others are suing President Obama for his illegal military action in Libya. The War Powers Act allows for 90 days of military action, and any more requires a Congressional authorization.

I thought Obama, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, was going to be the peace President. If Obama is going to continue Bush's policy of continuous war, he should at least follow our laws while doing so.

Lawmakers sue President Obama over Libya
...
“With regard to the war in Libya, we believe that the law was violated. We have asked the courts to move to protect the American people from the results of these illegal policies,” said Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio), who led the 10-member anti-war coalition

Importing Coke

Natural News has an article about how the DEA allows a special exemption to import cocoa leaves into the USA. Special companies get special rules.

Coca-Cola still imports coca leaves which are used to manufacture cocaine in the United States
... Approximately 100 metric tons of coca leaves are imported to the Stepan Company each year under "special permission" from the DEA. Keep all this in mind when you consider the total fraud of the current "War on Drugs" ...

Student Loan Leads To SWAT Team

A husband's estranged wife had a student loan in default. The federal government used that as an excuse to use a SWAT team to break into his house, with children present, and harass the family. The estranged wife was not there.

The local police participated with a police presence. Why is the federal government putting children at risk of harm, by breaking into their house, for a simple debt?

Education officials break down Stockton man's door
The U.S. Department of Education issued the search and called in the S.W.A.T for his wife's defaulted student loans.

"They busted down my door for this," Wright said. "It wasn't even me."

The Office of the Inspector General has a law enforcement branch of federal agents that carry out search warrants and investigations.

Stockton Police Department said it was asked by federal agents to provide one officer and one patrol car just for a police presence when carrying out the search warrant.

Miami Criminals Confiscate News Camera

Criminals in Miami Florida shoot a person, then confiscate a news camera that was recording the incident.

Homeowner Forecloses On Bank Of America

After attempting to foreclose on the wrong house, the homeowner got a judgment against Bank of America for damages. Bank of America refused to pay the judgment, so the homeowner, with the help of the local Sheriff, foreclosed on a Bank of America branch office.

An hour later the branch manager paid the judgment.

$2 Million Logo For Government

U.S.D.A. had spent about $2 million to develop and promote the logo, including conducting research and focus groups and creating a Web site.

$2 million to change the food pyramid into a food pie chart. A nice example of government waste.

US Government Attorney Lies To Canada

In an illegal harassment to protect Cisco Systems, a US government attorney deceived Canada. In an extraordinary move, Canada has refused to extradite the target of harassment to the US. Apparently the person was being harassed to have him drop a civil suit against Cisco Systems.

Justice McKinnon said if Canada had known the true facts, it would not have proceeded.

“Almost nothing in the U.S. attorney’s letter was true,” Adekeye’s lawyer Marilyn Sandford said Thursday.

McKinnon said the false material duped B.C. Supreme Court Justice Peter Leask into issuing an arrest warrant ...

He said the material from the Americans was full of innuendo, half-truths and falsehoods.

Sandford called the U.S. conduct Kafkaesque.

Justice McKinnon said little of what the Americans told Ottawa was true — and the supposed criminal conduct cited in their request was actually a trivial dispute that was part of the bigger legal civil battle between Adekeye and the $7-billion computer firm.

Taxpayers Financing Cars

Thanks to admitted tax cheat Tim Geithner (Treasury Secretary) bailing out GM's financial arm, the US taxpayers are providing financing for new cars and raise the financing amount on used cars.

This is going to be another taxpayer-financed disaster while the bankers continue to get paid.

(Reuters) - Ally Financial Inc, the United States' largest maker of car loans, hopes that people have forgotten the time when "subprime" became a synonym for "disaster."
...
It has said it wants to raise the percentage of auto loans on used cars that it makes to 50 percent from its current 20 percent.
...
Ally is the kind of company that "will likely need to call for the government's financial ambulance at some point in the future," said James Ellman, a hedge fund portfolio manager at Seacliff Capital in San Francisco. "I don't know if it is sooner, or later, but it will happen."
...
The government's ambulance came for Ally three times during the financial crisis as Ally's book of subprime mortgages collapsed. Taxpayers injected more than $17 billion into the company, which had assets of $287 billion in 2006 before loan values collapsed.

Those bailouts left the government holding a 74 percent stake in Ally ...
