TSA Has Their Own Kangaroo Court

The TSA (Thousands Standing Around), Transportation Security Administration, has their own tribunal to determine if those who pay the TSA tax on airline tickets are guilty of violating TSA's own rules.  This is a bizarre system.

Why are the rulings from the kangaroo court anything more than simply suggestions?  Of course the TSA's own court found a person guilty, even after a federal court didn't find the person guilty!

A couple years ago, we wrote about a guy named John Brennan ... who decided to strip naked at a TSA screening area in an airport to protest the screening process. As we noted, a federal judge acquitted Brennan on First Amendment grounds, noting that he was engaged in a public protest, and that the nudity was a form of protected expression, not subject to indecent exposure laws.

No matter, apparently, for the TSA, who just went ahead and fined Brennan anyway ...

Record Sea Ice

The perception seems to be that global temperatures are rising.  If that is true, why is there record sea ice in Antartica?  Maybe we don't understand the cycles of temperature on the Earth as well as we believe we understand it.

Extent of Antarctic sea ice reaches record levels, scientists say

Scientists say the extent of Antarctic sea ice cover is at its highest level since records began.

Secret Courts and Secret Fines

In a free society operating within the rule of law, individuals and companies are not subject to secret coercion.  Illegal challenges and coercion can be brought to law enforcement and adjudicated in the courts.  In the United States of 2014, companies are threatened with secret fines of $250,000 per day and economic extinction unless they allow the government to secretly spy on all citizens.  The illegal spying began with President Bush and accelerated with President Obama.

U.S. threatened Yahoo with huge fine over surveillance
U.S. authorities threatened to fine Yahoo $250,000 a day if it failed to comply with a secret surveillance program requiring it to hand over user data in the name of national security, court documents showed Thursday.
The documents, made public in a rare unsealing by a secretive court panel, "underscore how we had to fight every step of the way to challenge the US government's surveillance efforts," Yahoo general counsel Ron Bell said in a blog post that will again raise privacy concerns.

TSA Tries To Cover Up Security Lapse

TSA planned to keep their recent security lapse at San Jose airport quiet.  Only after it was reported by news media did TSA release a statement about the unticketed person who bypassed parts of pre-flight passenger screening including the no-fly list.

Said Rep. Eric Swalwell,
"We wouldn't have a no-fly list if that wasn't a concern," said Swalwell, who was also critical of a stowaway incident at the airport in April. "The reason a no-fly list exists is that we believe a layer of the security process is knowing who is on the plane. The woman was harmless, but there are people who I don't want on an airplane even if they go through security screening, who the public doesn't want on an airplane."

Saudi Coverup

The 9/11 deaths were a tragedy.  Other tragedies were the resulting wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the destruction of American civil liberties, and the cover-up of Saudi national's overwhelming involvement in the 9/11 plots.

Why does Obama continue to allow Saudi involvement in 9/11 to be covered up?

After the 9/11 attacks, the public was told al Qaeda acted alone, with no state sponsors.
But the White House never let it see an entire section of Congress’ investigative report on 9/11 dealing with “specific sources of foreign support” for the 19 hijackers, 15 of whom were Saudi nationals.  It was kept secret and remains so today.

NSA's William Binney

William Binney was a long-time National Security Agency employee, who left the agency shortly after 9/11 due to Constitutional violations he saw within the agency.  In this video series, Bill Still interviews William Binney.  Mr. Binney says the NSA records audio of 80% of the phone calls within the USA.

EPA Claims Powers To Bypass Due Process

The Environmental Protection Agency has published, in the Federal Register, it's attempt to bypass courts and due process and directly garnish wages of those it fines:
The rule allows the EPA to decide whether a debtor gets a chance to present a defense and then picks whomever it chooses to serve as a hearing officer, even someone not trained as an administrative law judge, wrote David S. Addington, group vice president for research at The Heritage Foundation.
It also puts the burden of proof on the debtor, not the EPA, he said.
The EPA is relying on the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996 for the expanded wage garnishment abilities.  While the EPA is under the current Obama administration, and Clinton was President in 1996, republican Newt Gingrich was the majority leader of the House of Representatives when the Act was passed in 1996.  Both major parties participated in 1996 to implement this Act.

Taxes Are Only For The Little People

The wealthy Clintons use accountants and attorneys to set up complicated schemes so they won't have to pay the taxes the little people pay.

Wealthy Clintons Use Trusts to Limit Estate Tax They Back
Bill and Hillary Clinton have long supported an estate tax to prevent the U.S. from being dominated by inherited wealth. That doesn’t mean they want to pay it.
To reduce the tax pinch, the Clintons are using financial planning strategies befitting the top 1 percent of U.S. households in wealth.

The political elite escape the taxes they impose on the working class.  Is it time to permanently repeal the income tax and replace it with a sales and consumption tax?

IRS Can Stop Your From Traveling

What if the surveillance is really about chasing down taxes?  The IRS can prevent Americans from traveling if the IRS thinks taxes are owed.

Why the IRS Can Now “Ground” You
If you’re a US citizen and believe you have an unfettered right to leave your country – and come back – think again.
Since the events of 9/11, your government has imposed draconian restrictions on international travel:
  • Initiatives like the "Automated Targeting System" and "Secure Flight" require airlines to turn over passenger data to the government. If the government doesn’t like what it sees, it can refuse you permission to board your flight without telling you why.
  • “No-fly lists” keep hundreds of citizens trapped in other countries, unable to return to their US homes.
  • Hundreds of thousands of US citizens can’t leave the US because they’re ineligible for a US passport. Many don’t qualify for a passport because they’re behind in child support payments or have been ordered by a court not to leave the US.
And we can now add “tax” to the list of reasons why you might be prevented from leaving – or reentering – the US.
Who would have thought America would become the Soviet Union and require showing your papers at checkpoints, and checking your tax payments before you are allowed to travel?  Welcome to Prison USA.
... if a proposed law takes effect, the IRS will be able to revoke the passports of citizens owing $50,000 or more in back taxes without formally charging them with tax evasion.

USA #1, NSA #1, IRS #1, NSA #!, USA #1, USA #1 !!

NSA Hoovers Everything

Why is the NSA recording all phone calls ... in the Bahamas!

The National Security Agency is secretly intercepting, recording, and archiving the audio of virtually every cell phone conversation on the island nation of the Bahamas.
Most of the 9/11 hijackers were from Saudia Arabia.  The USA therefore invaded Iraq and records phone calls in Bahamas.  This makes absolutely no sense at all, unless the NSA isn't about stopping terrorism.  What if the NSA is really about helping other agencies chase down undeclared taxes?

BLM FAA Coverup at Bundy Ranch

In an effort to restrict reporting on the BLM cattle-wrangling, the FAA has restricted the airspace over the Bundy ranch in Nevada.  Like China or the Soviet Union, the United States does not want reporting on the issue.  In that way, the government can better manage the story and public perception.

In a free society, why would the government try to cover up their activities on public lands?

Subsidies For Car Camera Manufacturers

Every accidental death is a tragedy.  How much money do we have to add safety layers to prevent a small number of deaths?

Manufacturers of the camera and display devices actively lobbied for this mandate.  This new regulation, a government requirement, will force everyone to pay more and enrich the camera manufacturers.

NSA Targets The Innocent

We learn the NSA is specifically targeting innocent system administrators, as a means to hack those networks.  What is next, corrupting every local police officer?
The NSA is a rogue organization... a secret criminal organization funded by taxes extracted from it's victims.

Remove National Intelligence Director

James Clapper, who lied to Congress, is still in charge of national intelligence.  James Clapper should be indicted for lying to Congress, and removed from his government job.  Six Congressmen have called for James Clapper to be fired:
A group of six Congressmen have asked President Barack Obama to remove James Clapper as director of national intelligence as a result of his misstatements to Congress about the NSA’s dragnet data-collection programs. The group, led by Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), said that Clapper’s role as DNI “is incompatible with the goal of restoring trust in our security programs”.

The US government is headed by liars and criminals.  Will this attempt by a few Congressmen to fire Clapper have any effect?  Will Obama take action?

Hide The Photos

Obama's administration continues to cover-up government activity, this time by destroying photos of the allegedly-killed Osama bin Laden.  What happened to Obama's promise to have the most transparent Presidency?

Email shows effort to shield bin Laden photos
A newly-released email shows that 11 days after the killing of terror leader Osama bin Laden in 2011, the U.S. military's top special operations officer ordered subordinates to destroy any photographs of the al-Qaida founder's corpse or turn them over to the CIA.
...
McRaven's order to purge the bin Laden material came 10 days after The Associated Press asked for the photos and other documents under the U.S. Freedom of Information Act.

Covering Up Errors

When the federal government makes a mistake, they don't back down.  They simply claim terrorism and national security.  After a few years, court dates, and now a lawsuit, the Obama administration is being shown to have covered up a clerical error with the claim on national security.

This hurts real people, and adds to the growing distrust of the federal government.

How Obama Officials Cried ‘Terrorism’ to Cover Up a Paperwork Error

After seven years of litigation, two trips to a federal appeals court and $3.8 million worth of lawyer time, the public has finally learned why a wheelchair-bound Stanford University scholar was cuffed, detained and denied a flight from San Francisco to Hawaii: FBI human error.

DEA Teaches Agents To Lie

DEA agents have been taught to lie to hide illegal evidence collection.  When government police openly advocates lying, who shall the people trust?

DEA teaches agents to recreate evidence chains to hide methods

Drug Enforcement Administration training documents released to MuckRock user C.J. Ciaramella show how the agency constructs two chains of evidence to hide surveillance programs from defense teams, prosecutors, and a public wary of domestic intelligence practices.

Obama's Claims About Syrian Attacks Were A Lie

Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry claimed Syria used chemical weapons.  They aggressively pursued military action against Syria.  The Democrat war-mongers were not interested in truth, but were interested in furthering the interests of the military-industrial complex of big government.

... the proposed strike is unlike anything that has come before — an attack inside the territory of a sovereign country, without its consent, without a self-defense rationale and without the authorization of the United Nations Security Council or even the participation of a multilateral treaty alliance like NATO, and for the purpose of punishing an alleged war crime that has already occurred rather than preventing an imminent disaster.

New research shows it was not possible for Syria to have used chemical weapons.  Therefore, Obama and Kerry had been advocating for the groups that used the chemical weapons.  The punishment would have been against the wrong side in this conflict!

The new research has found:
A series of revelations about the rocket believed to have delivered poison sarin gas to a Damascus suburb last summer are challenging American intelligence assumptions about that attack and suggest that the case U.S. officials initially made for retaliatory military action was flawed.
A team of security and arms experts, meeting this week in Washington to discuss the matter, has concluded that the range of the rocket that delivered sarin in the largest attack that night was too short for the device to have been fired from the Syrian government positions where the Obama administration insists they originated.

Obama Supports Gestapo NSA Spying

Obama outlined so-called reforms on NSA spying.  While there are a couple points of change, this actually codifies the unconstitutional NSA spying.  Obama is not for the people, he is for big business government contractors.

A national security insider says,
"The bottom line is that President Obama’s reforms contain no significant changes to how NSA does business as the leading foreign intelligence agency in the United States and the free world.

Real reform is impossible now, for at least a generation ..."

President Obama acknowledges (he lied)

Obama lied about who he lived with.  If Obama will lie about his housemate, what else will he lie about ... drone murder, you can keep your doctor.  What else?

President Obama acknowledged on Thursday that he lived with his Kenyan uncle for a brief period in the 1980s while preparing to attend Harvard Law School, contradicting a statement more than a year ago that the White House had no record of the two ever meeting.

FBI Classifies Music Fans As Gang

The fans of musical group Insane Clown Posse, who call themselves Juggalos, have been classified by the FBI as a gang.  This has led to harassment and denial of rights by those displaying the "gang" symbols.

The FBI's 2011 gang assessment said, "The Juggalos, a loosely-organized hybrid gang, are rapidly expanding into many US communities. Although recognized as a gang in only four states, many Juggalos subsets exhibit gang-like behavior and engage in criminal activity and violence. Law enforcement officials in at least 21 states have identified criminal Juggalo sub-sets, according to NGIC reporting."

On behalf of the "gang" members who have suffered harm by the FBI's ridiculous classification, the ACLU has sued.  The ACLU said, "The American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan, along with the Detroit music duo Insane Clown Posse (ICP), filed a federal lawsuit today on behalf of Juggalos, or fans of ICP, claiming that their constitutional rights to expression and association were violated when the U.S. government wrongly and arbitrarily classified the entire fan base as a “hybrid” criminal gang. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of four Juggalos and the two members of ICP."
