Man of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Award

Does anyone remember when Chelsea Clinton got a lifetime achievement award for being the daughter of the Clintons? As vice-chair of the defunct Clinton Foundation, Chelsea was able to live a first-class lifestyle and deserves the award to recognize her first-class entitlements.

Chelsea Clinton to be honored

Chelsea Clinton will be honored with an achievement award from Variety next month, the magazine announced Tuesday.

The 37-year-old former first daughter, a vice chair of the Clinton Foundation, is rumored to be eyeing a political run in New York, the Daily News reported last month.

Variety, in partnership with Lifetime, will hand out the “Impact Honorees” awards during its annual “Women in Power” luncheon at the ritzy Cipriani restaurant in midtown Manhattan on April 18.

More recently, Time Magazine has placed actor Volodymr Zelensky on the magazine cover and honored him with recognition as person of the year. Zelensky joins the likes of other Time magazine heroes such as Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin.

Zelensky is reported to have extensive wealth hidden off-shore.

Volodymyr Zelenskiy has railed against politicians hiding wealth offshore but failed to disclose links to BVI firm

Zelenskiy pledged to clean up Ukraine’s oligarch-dominated ruling system. And he railed against politicians such as the wealthy incumbent Petro Poroshenko who hid their assets offshore. The message worked. Zelenskiy won 73% of the vote and now sits in a cavernous office in the capital, Kyiv, decorated with gilded stucco ceilings. Last month, he held talks with Joe Biden in the Oval Office.

The Pandora papers, leaked to the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) and shared with the Guardian as part of a global investigation however, suggest Zelenskiy is rather similar to his predecessors.

The leaked documents suggest he had – or has – a previously undisclosed stake in an offshore company, which he appears to have secretly transferred to a friend weeks before winning the presidential vote.
