Tax Cheater Geithner Hires Bank Lobbyist

While announcing limits on lobbyists in departments of the new presidential adminstration, the Secretary of Treasury and tax cheat Geithner hires a Goldman Sachs banking lobbyist. The lobbyist/government/industry revolving door continues to fleece average Americans.

The new Treasury secretary, Timothy F. Geithner, announced on Tuesday that he would crack down on lobbying to influence the $700 billion financial bailout program by companies that are receiving billions in taxpayer money.
Mr. Geithner, who was confirmed on Monday, also said he would set new limits intended to prevent political interference with decisions about which companies received bailout money.

The new chief of staff to Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner was a top lobbyist for Goldman Sachs Group Inc. until last year, and will have to recuse himself from some government duties under new White House ethics rules.

UK Banks Hours From Collapse

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1127278/Revealed-Day-banks-just-hours-collapse.html details how the UK banking systems was a few hours from shut-down last in October 2008.

What about the Federal Reserve's lines of credit with the Bank of England. Can we please have transparency in America?

Revealed: Day the banks were just three hours from collapse
By Glen Owen

Narrow escape: The Bank of England was forced to contact RBS's creditors abroad to persuade them not to withdraw their funds

Britain was just three hours away from going bust last year after a secret run on the banks, one of Gordon Brown's Ministers has revealed.

City Minister Paul Myners disclosed that on Friday, October 10, the country was 'very close' to a complete banking collapse after 'major depositors' attempted to withdraw their money en masse.

The Mail on Sunday has been told that the Treasury was preparing for the banks to shut their doors to all customers, terminate electronic transfers and even block hole-in-the-wall cash withdrawals.

Only frantic behind-the-scenes efforts averted financial meltdown.

If the moves had failed, Mr Brown would have been forced to announce that the Government was nationalising the entire financial system and guaranteeing all deposits. ...

Auditors Arrested

When will American "law and order" start arresting bank auditors like authorities in India? Does America have respect for the rule of law, or is American about private gains and socialized losses?

Burning Iceland

The nation of Iceland was living large on credit and credit derivatives until they hit the financial wall in late 2008 and suffered a currency devaluation. The effects include significantly reduced purchasing power, lack of imported goods, failing businesses, rising unemployment, and deteriorating property prices.

The economic turmoil is spilling into social unrest and political turmoil. The UK is following in the footsteps of Iceland with a rapidly declining currency value.

This can, and likely will, happen in other nations. Will the result be police clampdowns and less freedoms OR more freedoms through money that has real value (instead of fiat money backed by debt)?

Less Farm Productivity

As long as I can remember, I have been told that modern farming/distribution techniques produce more farm per farmer/acre. This New York Times' article suggests that when measured by energy consumed, output has gone down.

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/12/magazine/12policy-t.html?_r=1
But the 20th-century industrialization of agriculture has increased the amount of greenhouse gases emitted by the food system by an order of magnitude; chemical fertilizers (made from natural gas), pesticides (made from petroleum), farm machinery, modern food processing and packaging and transportation have together transformed a system that in 1940 produced 2.3 calories of food energy for every calorie of fossil-fuel energy it used into one that now takes 10 calories of fossil-fuel energy to produce a single calorie of modern supermarket food.

Jewish State, Judaism, Zionism

A European view of Israel:

Almost half of Germans consider Israel aggressive
Almost half of Germans believe Israel is an aggressive country, according to a poll released by news magazine Stern on Wednesday.

While 49 percent of those asked by pollster Forsa said the country was combative, 59 percent also said Israel follows its own interests without considering other countries.

Only 30 percent of Germans polled said they were confident that Israel follows human rights laws. Paradoxically, 45 percent poll participants also said they found Israel to be a likeable country. ...

Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner Is A Tax Cheat

Soon-to-be Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner failed to pay proper taxes for several years and employed an illegal alien. He was audited for two of those years and paid the taxes. He apparently has not paid taxes on the other periods in the early 2000s.

Obama Defends Geithner, Expresses Confidence in his Confirmation

President-elect Barack Obama today defended his choice for Treasury Secretary, calling for Tim Geithner to be confirmed even amid questions still lurking about his failure to pay the correct amount of taxes on time, and employing a housekeeper whose work authorization had expired.

Three Strikes and You're Out
The revelation that Barack Obama’s choice for treasury secretary failed to pay $34,000 in income taxes from 2001 to 2004, has to give reasonable lawmakers pause. After all, if the Senate signs off on his appointment, Timothy Geithner will sit atop the bureaucratic pyramid that includes the IRS. ...
Geithner failed to pay appropriate Social Security and Medicare taxes when he worked for the International Monetary Fund. He paid some of those back taxes in 2006 when the IRS sent him a bill. He paid the rest too — with interest and penalties — but only after the Obama transition team discovered he owed more.

Police Criminals Caught On Video

In Oakland, the BART railway police shot and killed an unarmed man. The man was shot in his back.

Where is the outrage? When will the police criminal be charged with aggravated homicide? Will the other police be charged with conspiracy for attempting to cover up the crime?

Land Patent

Steps to secure a Land Patent:

We present the following in the hope that you will educate yourself with the truth and prepare yourself to stand, as our forefathers did, and as the founding fathers of this nation did, with your Land, Liberty, and Rights intact.

By definition a Land Patent is the only form of proof of absolute title to Land in the United States of America.
...

------------------------------------------------------

A land patent is evidence of right, title, and/or interest to a tract of land, usually granted by a central, federal, or state government to an individual or private company.

In the original 13 American Colonies, a proprietor would grant land patents. Besides patent, other terms for the certificate that grants such rights include first-title deed and final certificate. In the United States, all property can be traced back to the first title deed and to claims that document titles for land originally owned by France, Spain, United Kingdom, Mexico, Russia, or aborigines.

A land patent is known at law as "letters patent" and usually issues to the original grantee, and their heirs and assigns forever. The patent does not constitute title but is mere evidence of right to title existing in law.

Schiff vs. Laffer, Schiff vs. CNN

Peter Schiff was right on the economy and Arthur Laffer was wrong. Now Arthur Laffer's warnings are too late while he is pimping his book and pretending to be an economic expert.

On November 24 2008, CNN cuts off Peter Schiff after he calls for abolishing government economic advisers who are promoting more deficit spending. Peter Schiff says, "I am convinced that everything the government is doing to fight this off is going to make" and Peter Schiff is then cut off.
