IEEE Jumps The Shark

IEEE was an organization dedicated to advancing technology, primarily computer technology. Following the commonly accepted narrative that mandatory lockdowns, inadequate face masks, and mandatory vaccines with recurring booster shots are the one true religion, IEEE has become a mouth-piece for big-government control of everyone's body while trampling individual right to privacy. 

This IEEE virus article begins by discussing infection rates and quickly veers into jumping the shark by opining on excess mortality.

After quoting an economics magazine which publishes questionable opinion pieces, the IEEE article ends with ominous death verbiage, "Even using a toll of around 15 million deaths is enough to put COVID-19 far ahead of the two major post-1945 pandemics on a per capita basis. And any number above 20 million would make it in absolute terms (but not in relation to population) an event on the same order of magnitude as the great 1918–1920 influenza pandemic."

It seems most large organizations have succumbed to the mantra of trusting big government dictatorial powers to control individual's right to medical privacy. How well did dictatorial big government work out for people in China and the Soviet Union after WW2? All-powerful big government is the largest mass-murderer of all time. IEEE has strayed from it's mission of promoting computer technology.
