Criminals Keep Jobs and Avoid Jail

They kept their jobs.  They avoided jail.
The banksters do have different rules than other people.  Banksters are the protected people of the USA.

Bank employees were money laundering and hiding transactions for Iran.  A regular person doing this on a tiny scale would be in prison.  Banksters have company shareholders pay the fine while they walk and keep their jobs.

Standard Chartered Recants, Apologizes

At an earnings news conference, he said there had been "no willful acts to avoid sanctions," a statement that contradicted the bank's agreements with U.S. and Manhattan authorities last year in which it acknowledged that it had knowingly disguised transactions to avoid detection by U.S. supervisors.

The chairman's written statement Thursday said his March 5 comment was "wrong" and that he regrets making it. The bank "unequivocally acknowledges and accepts responsibility…for past knowing and willful criminal conduct in violating U.S. economic sanctions laws and regulations," he said. 

... Standard Chartered reached settlements totaling $667 million last year with the Justice Department, the Manhattan district attorney's office, the U.S. Treasury Department, the Federal Reserve and the New York Department of Financial Services over transactions with Iranian clients ...

Mr. Peace said no bank employees lost their jobs over the matter. ...
