CNN Says Your Money Going Further Is Not Good For You

CNN has become cheerleaders for unnecessary household spending.

Falling prices may sound good, but deflation can be dangerous

"After encountering rapid price increases for more than two years, discounts at some stores would certainly feel like a much-needed respite. But business leaders, economists and investment moguls aren’t so gung-ho about it."

Homeowners should cheer lower prices, as it means they can buy more with their money.

"But the problem with deflation is that when people begin to expect lower prices in the future, they have little incentive to make purchases right now. For instance, unless it was absolutely necessary, why would you buy a new oven today if you thought the price would go down significantly in a month?"

If a household does not need an oven today, why would they buy an oven today? Of course the people in the household should wait until they need to buy the oven. The big box stores want you to spend today, even though you may not need to replace your functioning appliances.
